The Dornier DO-27 was the first West German airplane to be built after WW2. The Do-27 was a robust airplane with fixed undercarriage design, which enabled it to land and take-off outside of hardened take-off areas. It was able to take off and land on very limited areas. Already after 250 meters, it could reach a height of 15 meters. From a height of 15 meter, it took the plane only 183 meters to land. The Do-27 was also loved for private flights. In total 628 Do-27 were manufactured.
